Ports Used by Cloudera Manager and Cloudera Navigator

The following diagram provides an overview of some of the ports used by Cloudera Manager, Cloudera Navigator, and Cloudera Management Service roles:

When peer-to-peer distribution is enabled for parcels, the Cloudera Manager Agent can obtain the parcel from the Cloudera Manager Server or from other agents, as follows:

In the following tables, Internal means that the port is used only for communication among the components; External means that the port can be used for either internal or external communication.

Cloudera Manager Agent Listening Port Custom protocol 9000 /etc/cloudera-scm-agent/config.ini Used to retrieve logs and diagnostic information, such as result summary.json files from completed commands. Also used to request immediate heartbeats from the agent and view the agent status, such as heartbeat, host, and service information.
